I'm back!

After a many-months-long hiatus, I have decided to return to the world of blogging! Yay! So what have I kept from the blogging world in the past several months? Well, I graduated from MSA as valedictorian! I never thought the day would come, but sure enough, I gave my speech, walked across the stage, shook hands, and that was it! I decided to go to Mississippi State, and chose Anthropology as my major. I don't really have any idea where I want to go with that, but I know I love the field. As long as I'm studying something I love, school wont feel like school at all. If my degree never makes me rich, I feel like it will always contribute to my happiness, and that's very important to me.

I've also lived an entire dating relationship in the time I've been gone! It lasted from April 23 to July 18, just shy of three months. I never consider any relationship in life a failure if you learn from it, and I learned tremendous amounts of lessons from this past relationship. These are lessons I will carry into friendships, my relationship with Christ, my relationship with my (future) children, and my (future) marriage. For what more could I ask?

Speaking of my relationship with Christ, that has grown a ton since we last spoke! Several factors, from my relationship with my boyfriend to Student Life camp to simple Bible reading to hours of prayer and introspection have all opened up a lot of doors in my relationship and perspective of God, my true master. I've been shown more clearly my purpose on the earth, I've been humbled by His blatant sovereignty, I've been comforted by His constant hand of love. For all of these things, I am far less grateful than I should be, but I'm working on it. I hope I only continue to grow towards Him in school these next few years.

I'll try to save some more of my noteworthy topics for the next few weeks, as I'm sure I'll quickly run out of interesting things to share, like I did before. I'll leave you with a picture from my new favorite activity, kayaking! I went yesterday on the Bogue Chitto River with my friend, Matt, and it was so much fun!
